STAR RACING TEAM PLANS
$12 MILLION FACILITY
Star Racing owners George and Jackie Bryce, who have
won six season championships
in NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle
racing with riders John Myers
and Angelle Sampey, have announced plans to build a $12 million multi-use, world-class motor-sports facility in their hometown
of Americus, Georgia. The facility
will include a quarter-mile concrete drag strip, 2.5-mile road
racing circuit, a motorsports-re-lated technology park, a training
facility for drivers’ education and
law enforcement training, and a
national motorcycle drag racing
museum. Construction is slated
to begin in late 2011.
